Company Background

Before leaving the corporate world I would sometimes escape the office to eat my lunch in solitude – even if it meant parking my car a few miles away. One of those days, I found myself watching a guy playing his guitar on a park bench. It was a blustery 65 degrees outside and the sky looked as if it would open up at any moment. Guitar guy was holding down his pages of music with bottles of water, struggling to keep it all in front of him, yet I could hear his heart as he played. He was focused on making music, despite the impending storm.

That day I couldn’t stop thinking about his perseverance. I asked myself: Does he love to play guitar? Write songs? Is he learning something new? Whatever the reason, he was obviously passionate. I wanted to pursue my dream with that passion.

After a corporate buyout in 2013, I began using my passion for story to help others. My start-up company, 3DCLPro Marketing Solutions, originated from a spare bedroom-turned office in my home. After two years of learning the ins-and-outs of owning a business and refocusing on what I love to do most, I decided to rebrand. The company transformed into: narratuscreative - You have a story. MAKE IT EPIC.

My name is Denise Chaney. I am the sole Owner and Chief Narrator of narratuscreative, a marketing/design/consulting firm located in Hamilton, OH. What began out of a home office continues to grow. Today we are located on the 8th floor of the First Financial Bank Building and steaming ahead into our fifth year of business.

Some of the highlights over the past five years include:

  • narratuscreative is a women-owned business and currently pursuing certification through WBENC

  • In 2017, I added a business partner who brings extensive experience in photography and videography that we can offer our clients, operating as narratusmedia

  • Published  several books under the narratuspress brand, a division of narratuscreative

  • In 2016 narratuscreative co-founded Speaking Frankly About Human Sex Trafficking, an organization which brings awareness to Butler County about the existence, dangers and solutions to combat Human Trafficking

  • Most of our clients are local but we also provide marketing services for clients in places such as Alaska, California, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana

I am a current member of the Hamilton Rotary, Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Class 27 of Leadership Hamilton and President of the Networking Professionals of Hamilton, BNI

There are many branding projects I have completed throughout my career. Some of those include:

  • Primary Health Solutions Gala, 2016

  • Primary Health Solutions Mission, Vision & Values Signage Implementation

  • Assisted a local start up – Bee Calm & Hive On from scratch 

  • Created graphic design promotional materials for PNC Bank’s internal events promotions
